Bradden Inman spoke to iFollow after his brace helped Dale to an emphatic 4-0 victory over Bury in the Checkatrade Trophy.
“We scored quite early, and from then on we were on the front foot. You can tell from the lads’ performance that we really enjoyed it.
“Against local rivals it’s good to get the victory, and take good momentum into Saturday against Gillingham.
“The boys are working hard, and we know at the minute that we can do a lot better, so we’re trying to put it right.”
Inman, on loan from Peterborough United, has now scored three goals in his last two games.
“I’ve been working hard, waiting for my chances, and I feel like I’m getting my match fitness back and coming into good form.”
The forward also spoke highly of Daniel Adshead, who became Dale’s youngest ever debutant in Tuesday night’s win.
“He trained with us in pre-season, and you can tell that the World is his. It’s a huge moment for him to make his debut and he played really well.
“Because he’s trained with us so much, you kind of forget he’s so young. It’s a good performance from him and he’ll enjoy it tonight.”
