Flashback: Dale 2-0 Bristol Rovers

20 October 2017

We take a look at back at a previous meeting with Bristol Rovers at the Crown Oil Arena, from the 2013/14 season.

Dale were going along nicely in League Two, sat in a playoff position heading into the game, whilst Rovers were hovering just above the relegation zone.

Unusually, Dale were in white away strip for the match, but that didn’t affect Keith Hill’s men as they ran out comfortable 2-0 winners.

After a goalless first half, Scott Hogan broke the deadlock two minutes before the hour mark, when he turned in Matty Lund’s right wing cross.

Graham Cummins doubled the lead and secured the victory four minutes later, latching on to Jack O’Connell’s ball over the top to fire home clinically.

Dale XI: Lillis, Rafferty, Lancashire, O’Connell, Rose, Cavanagh, Lund, Vincenti, Henderson, Hogan, Cummins.
