Defender Donervon Daniels spoke to iFollow after Dale’s 1-0 defeat against Rotherham United…
“I feel like we’ve done really well the last four or five games.
“Our plan was to come into this home game full of energy and play offensive football, but Rotherham are a tough, physical team with a focal point up top.
“We handled him [Kieffer Moore] throughout the 90 minutes, and it was a tough one to take conceding a goal from the corner.
“Today there were just little mistakes scattered throughout the game that gave Rotherham a foothold everytime I felt like we were getting on top, and that’s what we’ve got to cut out.
“It’s a tough one to take, but we’ve just to dust ourselves because we know we’re good enough to keep clean sheets home and away, but we’ve got to do that consistently.”
Having joined the club on loan from Wigan Athletic on transfer deadline day, Daniels feels he has settled in well to life at Rochdale.
“I knew I had to come here and put my style of play into the team to help them, because I know I can help the team going forward and defensively.
“It’s about me getting 100% fit, and I feel like I’m getting there. These last few games have seen glimpses of me getting back to my full strength, so I’m excited and I’m enjoying my football again after being out for as long as I was.”
