Community Coaches Deliver Session At All4Sport Event

9 October 2017

Dale in the Community Sports Trust provided coaches to All4Sport at St Mary’s School last week, with children from nine primary schools across the borough in attendance.

All4Sport is a partnership formed between Link4Life and Rochdale Borough School Sports Partnership, which aims to increase and improve participation and competition opportunities in sport for young disable people.

Many of the year 4, 5 and 6 students that took part suffer from learning disabilities.

The children, from the Primary Schools of Lower Place, St Joseph’s RC, Castleton, Scared Heart RC, Broadfield, St Edward’s, Holy Family and Whittaker Moss, all took part in fun coaching sessions held by the Trust’s coaches, before playing ten-minute matches against each other.

The Rochdale Borough School Games Partnership aims increase the number of children and young people taking part in high quality Physical Education, School Sport & Physical Activity, whilst working to ensure these experiences are innovative, high quality and engaging.
