Premier League Kicks Success With Dale In The Community

17 January 2017

The Premier League Kicks initiative, which is being delivered by Dale’s Community Trust in Rochdale, is proving popular, with over 100 young people already attending the weekly sessions.

Taking place at two venues on a Friday night, Kicks, which is funded through the Premier League Community Foundation, aims to deliver a first-class participation programme in the heart of the Rochdale community, using the appeal and reach of Rochdale AFC to engage with young people.

Sessions are currently being delivered at The Soccer Factory and Kingsway Park High School, but it’s hoped that three further local hubs can be developed to work with more young people who traditionally don't get involved in sport.

In addition, a training programme will also run along aside the five hubs to give attendees the opportunity to participate in training opportunities in order to develop skills and confidence, including first aid and Level 2 Award in Community Sports Leadership.

Anyone aged 12 or over is invited to attend the sessions at The Soccer Factory and Kingsway Park High School. Come along and get involved in sport, including football, and have fun!

Soccer Factory, Royle Barn Road, Castleon: 5.00 to 7.00pm
Kingsway Park Sports Centre, Turf Hill Road, Rochdale: 6.00 to 8.00pm
