Rochdale’s under 18 side booked their place in the final of the Youth Alliance Cup on Saturday with a 2-0 win over Hartlepool United.
Joe Piggott opened the scoring on the half hour mark, heading home from a Jack Lenehan delivery.
Five minutes later, Matty Gillam netted Dale’s second with a wonderful strike from the edge of the area.
Rochdale will face Wigan Athletic in the final. A date for the fixture has yet to be set.
