Enrolment day for the Dale in the Community Trust’s BTEC Futsal Scholarship Programme is this Thursday (August 24th).
Prospective students who are collecting their GCSE results on Thursday should contact Keith Hicks on 07958593121, or pop by the Community Office at the Crown Oil Arena as soon as they’ve picked up their results. Staff will be available from 9am onwards.
The course, which starts in September, is a fully accredited college course and is equivalent to three A Levels.
The timetable consists of 2 hours football training, supplemented by 2.5 hours of education at the club four days a week. The team will play matches in the EFL Futsal League and in the North West Pro Clubs League.
Once completed, there are pathways available, including the chance to go on to University, obtain a scholarship in the USA or start a career in the sports industry.
