Dale's Goalkeeping Academy has been up and running for the last eight weeks.
Following the successful introductory period, sessions will continue into the New Year.
For at Under 8s to Under 12s, the goalkeeping specific sessions are managed by the Academy’s Head of Goalkeeping, Ryan Ball, who is a UEFA B licensed goalkeeping coach, with the aim of providing technical coaching to prospective young goalkeepers from around Rochdale and the local area. Sessions focus on handling, distribution, crossing, reactions and positioning.
The Goalkeeping Academy offers young footballers the unique chance to train in a professional environment, with the added opportunity of potential trials at the Rochdale AFC Academy for those who excel during the sessions.
The sessions are £8.00 each week. However, if you block book onto the course for eight weeks the price is £6.50 per session.
The Goalkeeping Academy operates on a Monday from 4.30pm to 5.30pm at The Soccer Factory, Rochdale, on the indoor 3G training pitch.
