Rochdale Football Club is delighted to confirm the loan signing of Sanmi Odelusi.
The 23-year-old winger joins Dale on a season long loan from Championship side Wigan Athletic.
After spending time at Queens Park Rangers and Reading as a youngster, he joined Bolton Wanderers as a 16-year-old.
Odelusi made his professional debut as a late substitute against Charlton Athletic in March 2013. He scored twice on his first start for the Trotters on August 6 2013, grabbing the goals in a 3-1 away victory against Shrewsbury Town in the Capital One Cup.
He furthered his experience with loan moves to MK Dons and Coventry City during the 2014-15 season, and went on to join the Latics last summer for an undisclosed fee.
There’s an option to review the long term loan when the transfer window opens in January.
We’ll have reaction from Sanmi later this week. Look out for content on www.rochdaleafc.co.uk
