Assistant Manager Chris Beech spoke to Dale PlayerHD on Monday morning, giving a brief injury update.
He has confirmed that David Syers was left out of Saturday’s matchday squad due to injury. The midfielder has a calf problem.
Scott Tanser, meanwhile, who has been side-lined with a lower leg problem, was due to have his rehab stepped up today (Monday).
Beech commented: “They [the Dale physio team] are stepping his rehab up today so we’ll be more knowledgeable after today as to when he’ll be available for squad inclusion. He’ll need training time because he has been out for quite a while.”
And Beech says that Calvin Andrew, who is on the long-term injury list, is making good progress as he continues his recovery from ligament damage, with the striker now out of his medical boot.
