How long does the Special Promotion Period run for?
The Special Promotion Period runs from April 25 to June 4.

Supporters who buy their Season Ticket during this time will receive eleven promotional vouchers worth up to £100, including money off deals and offers from local businesses, in the back of their Season Ticket book. Fans will also be automatically entered into the prize draw to win back the price of their season ticket.

In addition, if you renew during the Special Promotion Period, existing Season Ticket Holders who purchased during last year’s Special Promotion Period will be able to use their Money off Voucher in the back of their current season ticket book to save £25 discount on an Adult and £15 discount on a Concession 2016-17 Season Ticket.

Please note: The money off voucher is only valid when purchasing during the Special Promotion Period.

Why is the cost of my season ticket more than I paid last year, even though it is stated there will be no price increase?
Prices have been frozen for the 2016-17 season.

The club has implemented just one price increase during a six year period. During this time, the club has competed in League One for four out of those six seasons.  By way of clarity, the price rise was brought into effect this season (2015-16), however, supporters who purchased during the Special Promotion Period for 2015-16 season benefited from buying at 2014-15 prices. In addition, fans who had purchased during the 2014-15 Special Promotion Period benefited from a double discount when buying for the 2015-16 season. Example: If you had purchased a Sandy Lane adult Season Ticket during the Special Promotion Period in the 2014-15 season, then you would have paid £277.50, although this price would have reduced by £25 if you had the money off voucher from the previous year. Last year, when writing to fans to thank them for their support and inviting them to renew for the coming season, we advised that prices would increase from June 1st 2015, meaning the price of a Sandy Lane adult would rise to £314.50. However, supporters were offered the opportunity to buy at the 2014-15 price if Season Tickets were purchased during the Special Promotion Period. In addition, fans who had purchased during the previous Special Promotion Period could redeem their money off voucher. In effect, fans who purchased during the Special Promotion Period for both the 2014-15 season and the 2015-16 season benefited from a double discount. After the Special Promotion Period ended, the price increase came into effect.

This double discount will not be applied on 2016-17 Season Tickets. However, supporters who purchased during last year’s Special Promotion Period can redeem their money off voucher during this year’s Special Promotion Period.

The following information was detailed in letters issued in April 2015 to all season ticket holders regarding the 2015-16 season pricing policy:

2015-16 Pricing Changes

In order to sustain and grow the club further, it has become impractical to retain prices for the fifth consecutive season. After much thought and consideration, the Board of Directors have made the decision to increase prices for all Adults and Concessions by £2 per match across all Stands from 01 June 2015.

As part of our strategy to grow the younger fan base, Junior prices (children aged 16 & under) for both match day and season ticket prices will not be affected and will remain at £5 and £89 respectively. All children aged 7 and under are also entitled to a FREE Season Ticket. (*Application forms must be completed with proof of age provided for new applications).

Why are there no early-bird prices?
There has been no early-bird promotion since the introduction of the Special Promotion Period in 2009. The Special Promotion Period has continued to run during April and May each year. The Special Promotion Period saw the introduction of the 11 Team Rochdale vouchers in the back of the Season Ticket books.

Can I obtain a free 11 and under Season Ticket if I live outside of the Rochdale Borough?
Yes - there are no geographical barriers.

Why are Season Tickets for junior fans aged 11 and under subject to availability?
Spotland Stadium has a capacity of approximately 10,000 and we have to operate within that capacity. Approximately 37,000 primary school children in the Rochdale Borough (alone) are eligible for a free Season Ticket, so it has been imperative to use the term subject to availability in our literature.

Why do Season Tickets for junior supporters aged 11 and under carry a £10 admin charge?
The £10 administration is new and has only been introduced this year. The fee covers the cost of processing the application, covers the cost of the season ticket book and contributes to the ongoing costs of our ticketing system, which is on a five year agreement with ongoing updates and support.

Do I have to purchase an adult Season Ticket in order to obtain an 11 and under Season Ticket?
No, you do not have to purchase an adult season ticket to be able to get an 11 & under Season Ticket. However, Rochdale Football Club recommends that all junior supporters aged under 12 are accompanied by an adult.

Do I need to provide proof of my date of birth when applying for a concessionary Season Ticket?
Rochdale Football Club offers the following concessionary season tickets - Senior Citizens age 65 and over, Young Persons aged 21 & Under and Juniors aged 16 and Under. Only NEW applicants need to provide proof of age. Once you have provided proof of your age once we do not need you to provide it when renewing.

I am 64 years old but will be 65 this year. Can I purchase a Concessionary Season Ticket?
The cut-off date for season ticket purchases is the 1st September. Therefore if you turn 65 before the 1st September then you will be classed as a Concession. If you do not turn 65 until after 1st September then you will not be entitled to the Concession Season Ticket rate.

These same principles apply to Young Persons aged 21 & Under, Juniors aged 16 and Under and Juniors aged 11 and Under.

How do I upgrade my Season Ticket?
