Manager Keith Hill has given his reaction to the news that Dale’s League One fixture against Wigan Athletic in November will be shown live on Sky Sports.
“I think it’s a good game to emphasise how good League One can be, or is.
“We’re a very good League One side and we’re trying to do the right thing. People suggest that there’s a right way to play – there’s a winning way to play and that’s the right way to play,” smiled Hill.
“We’re quite pleasant on the eye as well and I would imagine from what I’ve seen so far, and what I’ve heard from the Wigan Manager, that they’re trying to play the correct way.
“It should also be good exposure for the football club.
“At the start of the season, the TV games were chosen and we weren’t one of them, so it’s great. It’s an indication of how good we’re playing, but also how well we’ve started the season.
“I also think it’s a good game for the neutrals – it’s two good sides who want to play the right way and I’m looking forward to it.”
