No transfer activity on deadline day

We can confirm that there were no ins or outs at Spotland on Tuesday ahead of the 6pm transfer deadline.

Manager Keith Hill completed the last of his business last week after recruiting Nathaniel Mendez-Laing on a one-year-deal.

Mendez-Laing joins summer signings Lewis Alessandra, Donal McDermott and Jim McNulty in moving to the club.

Dale have started the season superbly, earning ten points from their opening five games, as well as progressing to the second round of the Capital One Cup, and a quiet transfer deadline came as no surprise following Hill’s comments in Saturday’s post match interview.

“I’ve done my business, it’s as simple as that,” he told Dale PlayerHD.

“Nobody will be taking any players from Rochdale, that’s 100-percent guaranteed. With respect to what we’ve got, I don’t think we need to add another player who may be sat in the stand.”
