2016-17 Kit Design Competition - Entries In By Friday 18th September

11 September 2015

Supporters are reminded that they have until Friday 18th September to enter the club's 6-3-1 Project.

Dale’s kit design competition, the 6-3-1 Project, is starting to gather momentum ahead of next week’s entry deadline.

After a slow start, we’ve seen a rise in entries arriving at the Club Shop. Fans have been handing them into staff in person, as well as sending them in via email and the post.

In addition to the details being featured in the midweek Rochdale Observer and on Rochdale Online, competition packs were sent out to local schools on Monday. Hopwood Hall College is also supporting the initiative - they've added the details of the project to their intranet system, allowing students to get involved.

Interested in submitting a design? Here’s all you need to know…

Designs for the home kit should include a blue, black and white colour scheme, however, the away kit colour scheme can be entirely your choice.

A panel of judges from the club, including the Directors, players, Errea and the Dale Supporters Trust will whittle the designs down to shortlist of six to be revealed at the end of September. Supporters will then get the opportunity to vote for three finalists from those six.

A sample of the three shortlisted home and away kits will be manufactured by Errea and displayed in the Club Shop for a final round of voting in December. The winning designs will be kept under wraps until the kits are launched next year.

You can pick up a design template from the Club Shop or download one from our website by clickingHERE.

You can add collars, change the shape of the neck or add detail by simply drawing them on the template and include any notes on your design. Use a computer program i.e. Photoshop or get creative and get out the felt tips, crayons or paints to design a kit.  Who knows, it could be your design that the players will be wearing next season!

The competition has no age limit so if you have an idea we would love to see it. There’s also no limit to how many designs you can submit.

Email your designs to stuart.ashworth@rochdaleafc.co.uk or send them to/ hand them in to Stuart Ashworth, Club Shop, Rochdale Football Club, Spotland Stadium, Sandy Lane, Rochdale, OL11 5DR.

We look forward to seeing them!
