Keith Hill's Post Match Reaction: Bury

17 October 2015

Manager Keith Hill spoke to Dale PlayerHD after Rochdale’s derby day encounter at Gigg Lane…

The game finished goalless with Josh Lillis pulling off a fantastic double save shortly before the break and another excellent stop in the second half. Hill was pleased with the clean sheet.

“I think either team could have won it in the end.

“Everything is marginal in football – you’re looking for the first goal and you’re looking not to concede the first goal.

“I’m encouraged by the clean sheet but there are things that we can do better – there’s a little bit of a lack of confidence when composure is needed.

“I think we took a lot of good things in possession out of the Sheffield United game but we’ve worked more defensively, so overall, am I happy with a point? I suppose so.

“I don’t think there was an awful lot between the two sides. The goalkeepers played well today, there’s no question about that."
