Full-back Andy Cannon will miss Saturday’s League One fixture against Southend United through suspension.
He picked up his fifth yellow card of the season in last weekend’s derby, meaning he will now serve a one match ban.
Manager Keith Hill says it provides an opportunity for another player.
“We’ve lost Andy due to five bookings. It was going to come and I think there are three more players waiting on another booking.
“But it creates an opportunity, and that’s where me, as a Manager, I’m trying to create opportunities from within, so there will be an opportunity for another player.
“Andy will, hopefully, see it as a valuable resting time and a re-think time because he is only new to the right back position [after playing there for] eight months tops.”
