Injuries: Allen, Camps & Henderson

10 November 2015

Assistant Manager Chris Beech has given www.rochdaleafc.co.uk a brief update on injuries.

Jamie Allen and Ian Henderson both missed Saturday’s game against Swindon Town, while Callum Camps was stretchered off late in the second half.

Beech told Dale PlayerHD on Monday morning: “Jamie sustained a dead-leg at Southend and struggled to shake it off all week.

“Ian had an injection to come back and play the last few games [after missing two games through the same foot problem], but he has been struggling a little bit with the pain in the bottom of his foot.

“The specialist says it isn’t serious but at the moment he wants to be a bit more pain free in order to be free running. Ian needs to run to play well because it’s a massive positive of his game. He backs up his technical abilities with his aerobic capacities.”

On Camps, he commented: "I don’t think it’s as bad as first feared with the initial pain. I think Callum went into a bit of shock because he had a thunderbolt tackle down his leg.

"He’s got lacerations from his knee down to his ankle and his ankle is swollen from the impact of the tackle. Hopefully there’s no ligament damage but it definitely isn’t broken."
