Hill Pleased To Reach The 50 Point Mark

18 March 2015

Manager Keith Hill reflects on Rochdale’s 2-1 win over Notts County at Meadow Lane.

Dale came from behind thanks to goals from Ian Henderson and Peter Vincenti to secure all three points.

Speaking after the match, Hill told Dale Player: “We shouldn’t have been behind, it’s as simple as that. We were controlling the game so I was really disappointed to go one-nil down. I was pleased with the performance and obviously I’m pleased with the result.

“I’m still a little bit miffed though that we got beat on Saturday because the only thing missing from Saturday’s performance was the end product. For us to sustain any challenge we can’t afford to lose the game that we lost at the weekend against Fleetwood, but that’s where we’re a little bit green.”

Tuesday night’s result sees Dale sit tenth in the division on 50 points, four points outside of the play-offs with two games in hand on the majority of the teams above them.

Hill commented: I’m pleased to have reached the 50-point mark. It’s a mile stone in any league, in any season. We’ve got eleven games left and I’m really looking forward to the remaining games knowing that we’ve achieved 50 points.”

The Gaffer also praised the 170 fans who made the trip for the match.

“Chris Beech goes on about the three point connection. The connection starts and finishes with everyone at the football club, including the supporters who were here tonight. Our away support is absolutely tremendous and I think we’ve rewarded them again tonight.”
