Hill: Dale In Good Shape Heading Into A Busy March

2 March 2015

Manager Keith Hill believes Dale are in good shape heading into a busy March.

Rochdale have seven fixtures this month, starting with a home match against Crewe Alexandra on Tuesday evening.

Dale head into the game on the back of two positive performances, something Hill is pleased with.

He told Dale Player: “If I can look into the future then I believe we’re in really, really good shape.

“Before the Chesterfield game I was looking at the three games and thinking that realistically three points would be brilliant, anything more would be a bonus. We got the three points but were very unfortunate on Tuesday against Sheffield United and have been very, very, very unfortunate at Bristol City.”

Tuesday night’s game is the first of two home games this week for Keith Hill’s side, with Colchester United the visitors to Spotland on Saturday.

Hill is expecting two difficult games, but is looking forward to them.

“We’ve got 15 games left to play, including seven in the month of March. They’re big games and we’re looking forward to them.

“I’m really, really pleased with the way that we played [against Bristol City] and the way that we performed. There’s no question that we’ll play as well [on Tuesday night], but the result is the most important thing of any game.

“[We would like to win both games] but it’s difficult because Crewe and Colchester have got League One pedigree. We’re pretty virginal when it comes to being in League One as a football club and as a team, and we’ve got to catch up quickly.

“I suppose when you look at Crewe and Colchester they’ll be looking at us and thinking that we can pick points up against Rochdale.”
