Rhys Smith will lead the Dale players out this Saturday as they take to the pitch for their League One encounter v Coventry City.
Rhys is a Year 6 pupil at St Bartholomew Primary School in Whitworth and is a regular member of Dale in the Community's Sunday morning Club.
The youngster is a Dale Season Ticket holder and attends games at Spotland with his Dad.
