Sandy Lane End Will Be Closed on Tuesday

6 October 2014

Supporters are reminded that the Sandy Lane end will be closed for Tuesday night’s Johnstone’s Paint Trophy second round tie v Walsall.

The club have had to take steps to close the Sandy Lane due to the impending upgrade of Spotland's floodlights.

Work to upgrade the floodlights will begin on the morning of Wednesday 8th October, with preparation works getting underway at the start of the week.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and ask for your patience on this matter.

Dale Chief Exec, Colin Garlick, explains more: “I’d first of all like to start by once again thanking the Dale Trust and everyone who has contributed towards the cost of the work.

“It’s a massive project for us and the work is going to mean a little bit of disruption in and around the stadium.

“We need to relocate and store equipment in relation to the work, in the Sandy Lane. As a result, we will have to close the Sandy Lane on Tuesday night."

There is no cost implication for supporters who would normally choose to stand in the Sandy Lane to relocate to another area of the ground. Admission prices for Tuesday night's game have been set at the same price in all areas of the ground.
