“It was a good game,” said Hill.
“A lot of respect to the opposition because we know what form they were in coming into the game and they’re an excellent side. We came up with a game plan and I thought the players executed it magnificently –
I thought they were outstanding, every player to a man. I can’t fault anybody and I believed it was fully deserved.
“The lads were absolutely superb and showed a lot of bravery in their performance to go and get the result.
“I still expect Preston to be in the top two but we’ve come up a performance today and we’re really pleased with the result.”
