Pitch Update

22 March 2013

At this time we remain confident that Saturday’s League Two encounter against Southend United at Spotland will go ahead.

Forecasters had been predicting snow for the area throughout today [Friday], however the snow has so far been light and hasn’t settled in or around the ground.

Snow and below freezing temperatures are forecast for the evening and overnight, therefore the covers, which have been down since Thursday afternoon, will remain on the pitch until Saturday morning.

Should the snow fall heavily overnight we will require help to remove the snow off the pitch in the morning as we prepare for kick-off. Volunteers are asked to report to the club for 8.30am. As always we would appreciate any extra pair of hands as we look to get the game on.

Our ground staff are keeping a close eye on the situation and we will update supporters again in the morning.
