Late Kick Off Returns

7 March 2013

Late Kick Off North West returns to BBC One this week in a new Sunday night slot.

The programme gets underway this Sunday (March 10th) after Match of the Day 2.

Each week Late Kick Off will have highlights from the Football League matches involving the teams in the North West as well as features and interviews. Presenter Tony Livesey will also be joined in the studio by
current managers and players during the series.

The Late Kick Off team were down at Spotland last month filming for the new series and Rhys Bennett and Joe Rafferty were good sports after volunteering to take part in their general quiz. They’ll be on the show at some point during the coming weeks.

Tony Livesey commented: "We're really pleased to be back for a fourth series and can't wait to get going. Out of all the things I work on over the course of a year, Late Kick Off is one of my real favourites. Even though we've got a shorter series this year, we've got some great things coming up.

"Keith Hill's return to Spotland is certainly something we'll be following up and we've already filmed our cult quiz One on One with Joe Rafferty and Rhys Bennett. Make sure you don't miss that! There's a particular question involving cricket that is an all-time classic!

"Even though we've got some big clubs in the Football League this year, it's our promise that every one of our thirteen teams will be featured every week. That's one of the things we've been most proud of over the last three years."
