A New Season, A New Look

29 July 2013

We’re on the eve of a new season with a renewed sense of optimism and Rochdale’s new squad now have a new look to boot thanks to a visit from a Vidal Sassoon stylist!

Melissa Timperley, who is from Wardle and a keen Dale follower, got the idea of offering a re-style to the squad after keeping up to date with all the new signings and the positive news on the club’s official Twitter feed during the summer, and thought it would be a great idea for the players to have a new look for the new season!

After being given the go ahead by Manager Keith Hill, the 20-year-old dropped in at Spotland after a training session last week.

Melissa is one of just a small number of Vidal Sassoon stylists to gain Distinction in both of her exams, and she was delighted to have the opportunity to style players’ hair.

“It was a fun thing to do,” said Melissa. “The players were very approachable and I would like to thank Keith Hill and the squad for making me feel welcome. I wish them all the best for the new season.”

Dale Chief Executive Colin Garlick added: “When Melissa first approached the club about restyling the team we thought it was quite a novel idea and Keith and I were grateful to her for thinking of us. Melissa has served her time with the world renowned Vidal Sassoon and has gained distinctions during her time with them and we have now benefited from that. Melissa is a really nice young lady and we have enjoyed her visits to the club, we hope she has enjoyed the experience and we wish her well in her career.”
