“You’ve got to trust the players – they’ve not let me down all season and I didn’t expect them to yesterday (by over indulging on Christmas Day). We had two really superb training sessions on Monday and Tuesday and having the weekend off (due to playing Southend United on Friday night) was brilliant," said Hill.
“It re-energised us mentally and physically after a long trip to Southend and I thought the players were excellent today. I thought they showed great energy and a lot of enthusiasm, and it was a very professional performance.
He continued: I’m really pleased with the clean sheet and a 3-0 win at home. They were good goals, it could have been more but I’m not greedy. I think three is enough for anyone.”
