FITC Support Kick It Out

1 November 2012

Rochdale AFC’s Football in the Community Trust (FITCT) have been getting involved in this year’s Kick It Out's annual One Game, One Community weeks of action.

The initiative, which ran from 18th – 29th October 2012, saw football clubs across the country embrace the inclusive and multi-cultural nature of the English game by holding events involving supporters and players alike.

The action provided a platform for fans, players and staff to show their commitment to equality and inclusion in football by wearing One Game, One Community t-shirts, donning campaign badges and stickers, and leading community-based activities.

Dale dedicated Saturday’s match against Fleetwood Town to campaign which saw the first team players don the Kick It Out t-shirts on the pitch during the warm up session before the match.

The FITCT organised several events at schools in the local area including sessions at All Souls Primary School where Ray Putterill and Andrew Tutte took part on Respect session. Rochdale’s Centre of Excellence under 10 squad also took part in activities on the pitch at half time during the League Two encounter.
