Matt returned to the Crown Oil Arena in August 2017 for his third spell with Rochdale.
He ended last season on 282 games for the club and needs just one more outing in 2021/22 to move into the top ten in Dale’s all-time appearances list.
The 33-year-old originally played for Dale in League One in 2010/11, before opting to follow manager Keith Hill to Barnsley.
Injury problems restricted Done’s appearances at Oakwell and he spent the second half of 2012/13 on loan at Hibernian.
Hill then brought Matt back to Rochdale ahead of the 2013/14 season and over the next 18 months he helped Dale to promotion and to two consecutive runs to round four of the FA Cup.
His form attracted interest from Sheffield United and Done moved to Bramall Lane at the end of the January 2015 transfer window.
Another promotion followed with The Blades in 2016/17 when Matt won his first medal as they were crowned League One champions.
Starting his career with Wrexham in 2004, Done has also played league football for Hereford.
