Youth Team Host Burton Albion On Saturday

The Youth Team host Burton Albion at Platt Lane on Saturday in the EFL Youth Alliance Cup.

Kick-off at Platt Lane is at 11am, with supporters able to attend and watch the game.

The Youth Team beat Bootle 9-0 in the FA Youth Cup last time out, with Luke Mann netting four times, Kevin Dos Santos, Joe Akpan, Corey Edwards, Oscar Kelly and under-16 Joe Green scoring the other five.

That victory at the Crown Oil Arena means that Dale have progressed through to the Third Qualifying Round of the FA Youth Cup.

The Youth Team also won their last EFL Youth Alliance League match, as they beat Stockport County 1-0 at Platt Lane.

Previously in the EFL Youth Alliance Cup, Dale were beaten 4-2 by Accrington Stanley as well as drawing 2-2 with Preston North End. Dale currently sit third in their group on one point.

Despite a defeat in their opening game in the EFL Youth Alliance Cup, Burton Albion have had a strong start to their league campaign, they've won six out of six and top their division.
