Oscar Kelly started for Northern Ireland Under-17s in their opening UEFA European Championship Elite Round Group game.
The Dale Academy player played just under an hour before being substituted in their narrow 2-1 defeat against the Netherlands.
Ryan Donnelly put Northern Ireland ahead in the first-half, before an equaliser from Enoch Mastoras in the 67th minute levelled matters.
The game looked to be heading for a draw, before Tygo Land scored a 92nd minute winner for the Dutch.
Next up, Northern Ireland take on England this Saturday, before facing Denmark in their final group game.
