Further trials for the Rochdale AFC Women’s Open Age team will take place in July and August.
Relaunched in May, the new look team will be participating in the Greater Manchester Women’s League Premier Division from the 2023/24 season.
The trials will take place on Thursday 27th July and 3rd August, at Kingsway High School (OL16 4XA – 3G pitch) from 8-9.30pm.

Women’s Manager Lee Atkinson says he is excited to get the season started.
“Pre-season has started really well for us,” he commented.
“We entered two teams into a tournament, one of which got to the semi-final and the other to the final. We reached the semi-final of another tournament too were very unfortunate to lose on penalties.
“We’ve seen a lot of positives already. We played teams from higher divisions, so it was a really good test. It was good to see what our players could do.
“There will be a lot of hard work in the coming weeks to get ready for the start of the season.
“We probably need to recruit a few more players, so the trials will be really important, and I would encourage anyone who is interested to sign up for them.”
