Youth Team Host Blackpool On Tuesday

25 April 2023

The Youth Team host Blackpool in the EFL Youth Alliance League tomorrow.

Kick-off is at 11am and the game is being played behind closed doors at the Crown Oil Arena.

THREE GAMES TO GO

Dale head into their final three games, with Blackpool up first. An away trip to Walsall and a final home game against Bolton Wanderers make up their final two EFL Youth Alliance League Fixtures.

The Youth Team currently sit eighth in the league on 33 points, four behind Salford City in seventh and two above Preston North End in ninth.

Dale were defeated 1-0 by high-flying Accrington Stanley on Saturday. They’re in second place, just two points behind league leaders Blackpool.

Prior to Saturday’s defeat against Accrington, in Dale's four fixtures before then, they had won three games and only lost one.

THE OPPOSITION

Blackpool are sat at the top of the league on 46 points after 23 games played.

Their last game saw them come out with a 4-0 win. That was following back-to-back games against Accrington Stanley, where they won one 1-0 and lost the other 2-1.

To round up Blackpool’s last five fixtures, their two matches before those Accrington games saw them lose 2-0 to Oldham Athletic as well as picking up a 2-0 win against Stockport County.
