Dale will face Shrewsbury Town away from home in the second round of the FA Youth Cup.
A date for the tie will be confirmed in due course, but it must be played before Saturday 26th November.
A penalty shootout win saw Dale advance past York City in the first round, whilst the Shrews were 6-0 winners over Sutton Coldfield.
