Rochdale AFC Community Trust marks 'National Day of Remembrance'.
On Wednesday 23 March 2022, ‘National Day of Reflection’ marks the second anniversary of the first Covid-19 lockdown.
It is a day to support the millions of people in the UK who've been bereaved during the coronavirus pandemic and to reflect on the lives of the people we've lost. Not just those loss through Covid, but it’s an opportunity to reflect any loss, at any time, through any cause, and come together to support each other.
Rochdale AFC Community Trust have created a ‘Wall of Reflection’ in Our Spot Community Hub at the Crown Oil Arena, to give people the chance to post names, dates, poems, letters and photos of those they may have lost and would like to remember this year.
On Wednesday 23rd March from 11am-1pm, the Community Trust be hosting a free ‘brew and chat’ session in Our Spot Community Hub, with staff from Rochdale AFC Community Trust and Rochdale and District Mind in attendance, who will be on hand to signpost to further support where needed.
Have a look at the wall, take a piece of paper from the table, and add your name or note. You’re welcome to bring in photographs or additional materials to add to the wall.
