England Call-Up For Walking Footballer!

1 March 2022

David Brooks has been selected to play in the over 60s IWFF England Walking Football team and will wear the iconic number 7 shirt.

Brooks began playing Walking Football with Rochdale AFC Walking Football six years ago when he went to a session Rochdale Leisure Centre.

David Brooks also said "I recommend everyone to give Walking Football a go. It will help improve your fitness and mental health. You will also be making new friends as well as having a great time.”

David is currently looking for fundraising and sponsorships to raise £1500 for expenses to help his journey. If you could help, please get in touch by emailing community@rochdaleafc.co.uk

The IWFF England Walking Football team will be travelling to Sweden and Chesterfield. They will also be travelling to Italy in July where they will be taking part in the IWFF World Championship 2022. Good luck
