The Youth Team flew out to Portugal on Monday morning for a pre-season training camp.
The fully funded training and educational trip to Vilamoura will last a fortnight, during which Dale will play at least two matches.
It is a trip two years in the making, having been cancelled last year due to Covid.
PDP Lead Coach Chris Brown said: "Everyone is looking forward to it, players and staff included.
"There will be lots of hard work - double sessions, gym sessions and even some Portuguese language lessons whilst we're there.
"It will allow the first-years and second-years to build relationships, build a collective spirit, and allow us to go into the start of the season in a good frame of mind."
