Rochdale Football Club is pleased to confirm David Dockerty as the club’s new matchday announcer.
Starting in September, David will become the new voice of matchdays at the Crown Oil Arena, bringing his experience of radio presenting and event hosting to the role.
Liverpool born David has lived in Ramsbottom for the last six years and is an avid football fan with a passion for music.
In addition to his day job as a Remarketing Manager for Santander, David is a presenter at local radio station 104.7 Rossendale Radio, hosting their weekend Sports Show. Although he’ll have to hang up the mic whenever Dale are at home, you’ll still find him on air during his regular Thursday evening show.
David is also no stranger to hosting ‘black-tie’ events or getting involved in doing stand-up comedy, either!
“I can’t tell you enough how genuinely thrilled I am to be joining Rochdale Football Club,” he said.
“To be given the chance to take up this role means the world to me and I can’t wait to get started.”
