Rochdale Football Club is delighted to announce a new addition to the board of directors.
Suzy Orr has joined the board as a non-executive director.
North-west based Suzy is director of her family business, Windoworld, and is also founder of the Unique Ladies Network franchise.
Unique Ladies is a networking group for any woman who runs her own business, works in business or heads up a business. Their mission is to support all women in business, no matter which part of their journey they’re at, to achieve their full potential through support, encouragement, knowledge and friendship.
Chairman Simon Gauge said: “We are delighted to announce that Suzy Orr has joined the RAFC board as a non-executive director.
“The new board has been formed over the past year following the EGM in June 2021, and addressing the lack of diversity on the board is one of our strategic aims. We know it is also important to our supporters, with the lack of female representation raised at a previous fans forum.
“Suzy has a wealth of experience that we will benefit from. In the short time that I have known her, I have been impressed by her enthusiasm, energy and ideas that she has for the club, especially engaging better with our female supporters.
“Suzy’s appointment undoubtedly strengthens the board of Rochdale Football Club and we look forward to implementing many of the ideas that she has.”
Suzy commented: “I’m thrilled to have joined the board at Rochdale AFC as a non-executive director.
“As a proud Lancastrian lady, getting involved to focus on bringing women, not just to the club, but working with them in the community, is what I love to do.”
