Manager Robbie Stockdale has confirmed that Josh Andrews is set for a spell on the sidelines through injury.
Speaking ahead of Tuesday night’s Papa John’s Trophy group stage tie against Port Vale, the Gaffer said that the forward, on loan at Dale from Birmingham City, will miss a minimum of four weeks due to a hamstring problem.
“There’s nothing new [to report injury wise] from the weekend, but we had a bit of blow with Josh Andrews on Friday, who has [suffered] a hamstring injury,” said the Boss.
“He’s had a scan and it doesn’t look very good, unfortunately, so he’ll be missing for a few weeks. We’ll get the full extent of the injury, but we’re certainly looking at a minimum of four weeks. He’s obviously not our player, so Birmingham will want to have some kind of input into that as well.
“Other than that, I’ve got a fully fit squad.”
