Sunday's Kit Choices To Help Colour Blind Viewers

30 November 2021

Dale and Plymouth Argyle will wear kit combinations that help those with colour blindness distinguish between the sides during our live broadcast match on Sunday.

The Emirates FA Cup second round tie between Dale and the Pilgrims will be shown live on ITV (12.15pm kick-off) this weekend, attracting viewers from across the country.

Dale’s regular home kit of blue shirts with white shorts and socks would clash with Argyle’s first choice strip of green shirts and socks with black shorts, for viewers who suffer from colour blindness.

After discussions between the two clubs, ITV and the FA, a decision has been taken for Dale to wear our regular blue home shirts with black shorts and socks, against the visitors’ all white change strip.

This combination will allow colour blind viewers to better distinguish between the two teams, making for a more pleasurable viewing experience.
