Rochdale AFC can confirm our retained/released list following the conclusion of the 2020/21 season.
The club have entered into negotiations with out of contract players Eoghan O’Connell, Jimmy Keohane, Matthew Lund, Jay Lynch, Stephen Dooley and Matty Done.
Negotiations are also ongoing with Jim McNulty regarding a player-coach role from next season.
The club have activated the option in Joe Dunne’s contract to extend his contract for a further year.
First-year scholars Brad Kelly and Peter Thomas have been offered their first professional contracts.
Players out of contract this summer and leaving the club are Ryan McLaughlin, Paul McShane, Jimmy Ryan, Harrison Hopper, Lewis Bradley and Keaton Mulvey, as well as our second-year scholars.
An option in Conor Shaughnessy’s contract, in the player’s favour to continue his stay into next season, has not been activated and he will be leaving the club.
All other players remain under contract.
We would like to place on record our thanks to those who are leaving the club for their contribution to the Dale cause during their time at the Crown Oil Arena and wish them all the best for the future.
