Conor Grant made his first start for the Republic of Ireland’s Under-21s on Sunday.
He started in the side’s friendly against Switzerland and played 65 minutes before making way for Gavin Kilkenny.
Grant is away on international duty at a training camp in Spain, with the side set to play three games in six days. Sunday’s fixture the first of those matches.
It’s the Dale midfielder’s second call-up to the age group, following his first in March of this year. He made his Under-21s debut during that international break, appearing in their 2-1 win over Wales.

Sunday’s game ended in a 2-0 victory for Switzerland.
