Loan Players Return To Parent Clubs

10 May 2021

Brian Barry-Murphy praised the impact and commitment of Dale’s loanees, as they are set to return to their parent clubs following the end of the season.

Gabriel Osho, Gavin Bazunu, Haydon Roberts and Jack Vale will now officially return to Luton Town, Manchester City, Brighton & Hove Albion and Blackburn Rovers respectively, whilst Yeboah Amankwah and Tolaji Bola both featured earlier in the season on loan from Manchester City and Arsenal.

“We don’t really see them as loan players, as such,” said the Dale boss.

“Those players have been such a huge part of what we’ve done over the past few years.

“The likes of Robert Sanchez and Rhys Norrington-Davies, who have gone to do great things, will no doubt be followed by the players we have had this season.

“It’s been a huge benefit to us as a club. Callum Jones and all the team that go into recruiting those players must take a lot of credit for making us so competitive on such a difficult financial landscape.”

We would like to place on record our thanks to all of our loan players for their effort and commitment during their time at the Crown Oil Arena, and wish them all the best for the future.
