Jimmy Keohane was the big winner at Rochdale’s 2020/21 awards presentation, held on Saturday.
The 30-year-old scooped three awards, including the prestigious Supporters’ Player of the Season Award and the Players’ Player of the Season honour. He also picked up the Goal of the Season accolade for his goal against Accrington Stanley at the Crown Oil Arena in April.
The Dale Dragon Player of the Season, as voted for by Junior Dale Trust members, went to Stephen Humphrys. The Rochdale AFC Community Trust Player of the Season Award was won by Jimmy McNulty for his work with the community.
Kwadwo Baah won most improved Young Player, while Ethan Pye was named as Youth Team Player of the Season. Ben Kershaw’s strike from the half-way line, in the side’s Northern Area Youth Alliance Final against Grimsby Town, scooped the Youth Team Goal of the Season award.
Ollie Rathbone was chosen as Club Player of the Season by the Board of Directors, and the South Manchester & Cheshire Supporters Club Player of the Season went to Matthew Lund.
Two special recognition awards were also given out, to honour the hard work and dedication of two former members of staff who retired earlier this season - Keith Hicks and Andy Thorpe.
In addition, Academy Manager Tony Ellis and PDP Lead Coach Chris Brown were presented with a trophy to mark the Youth Team winning the Youth Alliance League Cup Northern Area Final.
