We are delighted to announce that Matty Done has signed a new one-year contract with the club.
The 32-year-old is in his third spell at the club and moved to joint tenth on Dale’s all-time appearance list last season.
His 282 appearances for Rochdale have come across seven seasons, including last time out, when he clocked up 41 in all competitions.
“I’m delighted. It’s been a long few weeks getting it done, but I’m delighted to finally sign for another year,” said Done.
“This club has been a long part of my career. We’ve had some really good times and we’ve got to rebuild to try and get back up where we were, with another promotion, which I was a part of last time.
“People will be coming and going, so we’ve got to rebuild. It’s up to the staff and the players to then build on that and start the campaign as we left the last one.
“It’s been a long summer, with not having the chance to go away, so I’m looking forward to get back in with the lads.
“I’m sure this week will go pretty quick, then this time next we’ll all be back together.”
