Rochdale Football Club is delighted to announce that Matty Lund has been nominated for the Sky Bet League One Player of the Month award for January.
His impressive form during the month saw him score four goal and grab three assists, meaning he was involved in more goals during January than another player in the top four leagues of English football.
Sky Bet say: “No player typifies Rochdale’s all-action approach better than Lund, combining creativity and passing ability with energy and coolness in front of goal, and constantly bursting forward to score four goals and add three assists.”
Lund is shortlisted alongside Hull City’s George Honeyman, Oxford United’s Josh Ruffels and Charlie Wyke from Sunderland.
The winner will be announced this Friday.
