Thanks to the generosity of Dale fans and supporters of football teams all over the country, the David Clough Fundraiser has topped £9,000!
This means there is now less than £1,000 to go until the £10,000 target is met.
Set up just nine days ago by Rochdale fan Mark Cryer, the online fundraiser is seeking donations to help commission a statue to be installed at the Crown Oil Arena as a lasting tribute to Cloughie.

David, who lived in Littleborough and worked at the former Whittles Bakery, was a Goldbond Agent for over 25 years and served an incredible 800 members. During his time as a Goldbond Agent, it is estimated he raised over half a million pounds for the Club! Upon his passing last year, he bequeathed his entire estate to his beloved Dale.
Some of his legacy is being used to purchase a scoreboard at the Crown Oil Arena, which will be located on the fascia of the Reside Stand for all home fans to see.
