Rochdale Football Club are proud to again be supporting Rochdale Council’s Christmas Toy appeal.
The Crown Oil Arena has been a designated drop-off point for the past month, with hundreds of presents donated (pictured above), which will now go to children in need across the borough.
We would like to say a huge thank you to the Dale supporters who donated at recent matchdays as well as local businesses and organisations, including Northcare, who came up trumps with many gifts.
The annual appeal, now in its eighth year, is organised by the council's staff-run 'Giving Back' charity, which helps make sure that local children who are less fortunate have presents to open on Christmas Day.
Ryan Bradley, Rochdale AFC Community Trust Director, said: "It was great to support such a worthwhile campaign.
"The staff at Rochdale Council and the local councillors gave up their time to promote the appeal at matches and amongst supporters and we were blessed with a great response!
"Christmas is a special time of year for many, but a struggle and time of worry for other and we are happy we could play our part in ensuring children in our communities do not go without a present at Christmas."
