The Youth Team drew 1-1 at home to Blackpool in the EFL Youth Alliance League on Saturday.
Peter Thomas scored a late equaliser to cancel out James Harrison's first-half strike to earn Dale a point.
Goalkeeper Brad Kelly made a couple of fine stops early on to deny the visitors, first from a free-kick then a fierce effort from 25-yards.
Blackpool took the lead five minutes before the break when Harrison finished off a swift counter attack.
After the break, Kelly was to thank for keeping Dale just one goal behind, when he dived low to his right to save a Blackpool penalty.
Thomas then pulled Dale level, latching on to a ball in the area before knocking it past the goalkeeper and making sure of the goal by turning home from a yard out.
Ben Kershaw tested the Blackpool goalkeeper direct from a free-kick, before Kelly made another good save with his body.
Dale had a couple of chances late on to complete the turnaround but were denied by the Blackpool stopper.
