Robbie Stockdale gave an update on the injuries to Eoghan O’Connell and Jimmy Keohane after Dale’s game at Harrogate Town.
The pair missed the opening match due to injuries, but the gaffer gave a positive update on them.
“Jimmy saw a specialist yesterday regarding his shoulder, so hopefully he isn’t going to require surgery,” said Stockdale.
“Eoghan came off in the AFC Fylde game with an injury to his achilles, but he is back on the grass now. Whether I risk him on Tuesday or wait for Saturday, I’ll decide on that.”
Abraham Odoh played the first 70 minutes of the game, but was forced off after picking up a knock.
“I thought he had a good game. He was very positive.
“There will be knocks, bumps and bruises in the first game of the season, but hopefully it’s just an impact injury and won’t keep him out for too long.”
